Study Groups

Classes Summer 2019

UPDATED GROUP SCHEDULES as of Dec 09, 2025**

Check each group listed below for status and meeting times.

WEDNESDAY

Exploring the Path of Self-Transformation: A Theosophical Approach*

Time:   5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

NOTE- this group meets every Wednesday.

Location:   meeting via Zoom only (if interested, please contact the facilitator- see below)

Participants of this group will explore the Occult teaching that mankind is evolving in long-term cycles along with all other life forms in the universe. The Ancient Wisdom tells us that our Eternal-Spiritual nature uses a vehicle (the body and personality) during periods of temporary Earth life, and that we must learn to allow this Spiritual nature to predominate (raise our consciousness). The teachings tell us that our Spiritual nature uses the vehicle as an instrument in alignment with the Universal Laws, otherwise we suffer. As we begin to raise our consciousness, we can begin a deliberate process of self-unfoldment toward self-realization and the realization of the unity of all life.

The group will use the following material for our study:

Wednesday, December 10:   H. P. Blavatsky’s Diagram of Meditation

Two Approaches to Exploring the Eternal Self (two papers)

Wednesday, December 17:  The Silent Witness, Hugh Brockwill Ripman (Gurdjieff influence, an article)

Wednesday, December 24th & 31st:  NO MEETING

Wednesday, January 7th:  Begin new book- A Study in Consciousness (Annie Besant)

Each session involves reading and discussion. The participants are encouraged to apply the material to their daily lives through observance and introspection. Each meeting begins with time for sharing personal discoveries from individual work between meetings (for those who choose to share).
