Bookstore
Besant Branch has books for sale to members and friends that cover a wide variety of Theosophical, metaphysical, and spiritual topics. Our books are often less expensive than what can be found elsewhere. Our inventory includes important titles of Theosophical authors, such as H.P. Blavatsky, Annie Besant, C.W. Leadbeater, and Alice Bailey. Writers of esoteric and spiritual material include Joel Goldsmith, the Dalai Lama, and Louise Hay. Subjects of the books in our store include exploration into the world’s religions; Native American shamanism; healing and nutrition; occult practices like Tarot and Astrology; women’s enlightenment; spiritual practices, such as yoga, and meditation; consciousness-raising and self-awareness; science; end-of-life; reincarnation; and so much more. The bookstore also has used books for sale for $1.00, many containing the same type of subject material as those in our for-sale bookstore inventory.

Library
The library has an extensive collection of books covering not only the foundations of Theosophy, but also a wide variety of metaphysical, spiritual, and self-enlightenment topics. Books have been added to the library’s inventory since the very beginnings of Besant Branch. The library has many more and varied titles than are currently available for purchase in our bookstore, with a large quantity that are rare and no longer in print.
Members have borrowing privileges, and are encouraged to visit, browse, and check out books from the library for personal enrichment. Friends are welcome to browse the library during class and program hours, but must consider membership in order to borrow books.
